The security forces are currently running a major operation against the terrorists in Kulgam district of South Kashmir. The latest news is that the sounds of bullets have been heard in Tangijarg area and the encounter is going on there.
In fact, the security forces are looking for the terrorists who carried out the tragic attack in Pahalgam on Tuesday (April 22), in which 28 tourists who came to visit. A senior police officer has said that the security forces have detected the terrorists and additional force has been sent to the spot for their siege. This encounter started this evening.
Just a few hours earlier, the security forces also killed two terrorists trying to infiltrate. Campaigns are going on against terrorists in many places in South Kashmir since this morning. An attempt to infiltrate near the Line of Control (LOC) in the Uri Nala was also thwarted.
Meanwhile, a worrying information has been revealed by quoting defense sources (according to CNN-NEWS18 report). It is being told that there are about 42 terrorist launchpads across the LOC, where at present, 110 to 130 terrorists may be ready for infiltration. Of these, 10 launchpads are in the front areas of Kashmir, while 32 are being told in front of SPPR region.
Under this major action, security forces have detained more than 250 people from South Kashmir for questioning. Police sources say that more than 1500 such active OGWS (over ground workers – helpers of terrorists) and terrorist activities have been caught in the entire Kashmir Valley, on which FIRs are already lodged.
Remind you that on Tuesday afternoon (April 22), terrorists fired indiscriminately on male tourists in the beautiful Basaron Valley of Pahalgam (also known as ‘Mini Switzerland’). At that time these people were roaming near small dhabas, riding a pony or enjoying a picnic with their family. Security forces are now engaged with full force to catch the culprits of the same attack.
