Kartik Aaryan’s latest horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, starring Triptii Dimri, Madhuri Dixit, and Vidya Balan, premiered on Netflix on December 27, 2024, just a month after its theatrical release. The film grossed over Rs 417 crore worldwide, securing its position as the fifth highest-grossing Indian film of 2024.
While Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 received mixed reviews, singer Goldboy, known for the track Photo from Kartik Aaryan’s 2019 film Luka Chuppi, criticised the horror comedy. Taking to his Instagram story, he wrote in Punjabi, “Waheguru ki ho gya eh Bollywood movies nu, watching #bhoolbhulaiyaa3 Worst movie ever Very disappointed.”

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 was released in the theatres on November 1 and faced a major box office clash with Rohit Shetty’s star-studded film featuring Ajay Devgn, Arjun Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Tiger Shroff in lead roles.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is directed by Anees Bazmee and is produced by T-Series Films and Cine1 Studios. The film also stars Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav, Sanjay Mishra, Ashwini Kalsekar, and Rajesh Sharma.
The film marks the third installment of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise, following the original 2007 film starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role and the 2022 sequel, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which featured Aaryan as Rooh Baba.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kartik recently announced a new movie, produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, titled Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri.
The actor wrote, “Tumhara RAY aa raha hai RUMI. Mummy ki khaayi hui kasam, yeh Mumma’s boy poori karke he rehta hai! Super excited to return to my fav genre Rom-com #TuMeriMainTeraMainTeraTuMeri…The biggest love story coming to cinemas in 2026.”
This film also marks Kartik and Karan’s first collaboration after their much-publicised fallout, resulting in the actor’s exit from Dostana 2.
