Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar has been detained by Patna Police. More than 30 Congress leaders and activists including Kanhaiya Kumar, Youth Congress National President Udaybhan and Bihar Pradesh President Garib Das have been detained by the police.
Congress workers including Kanhaiya Kumar, including Congress workers, took out a march in Patna to surround the Chief Minister’s residence to demand ‘Exodus stop, employment do’. Meanwhile, the police stopped on March near Rajpur bridge and took Kanhaiya Kumar into custody. Activists from all over Bihar attended this march. Senior Congress leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot also attended this visit.
What did Kanhaiya Kumar say?
After being detained, Kanhaiya Kumar said that we are not demanding lathicharge or water canon. We should get water from tap in our house. Bihar’s ‘Nalpani Yojana’ should be correctly implemented and people get water in homes. He accused the government that when they could not provide water in the taps, they run water showers on the students and youth.
Party leader Sachin Pilot said, “The government should stop migration of millions of people from Bihar. The youth are on the streets with us. The government is only releasing data to mislead us. But the reality is very different.”
