Lonaval-based Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute inaugurated its 11th international conference on Yoga in Cancer Care, marking a pivotal event in its centenary celebrations. Renowned experts from the field of medicine and yoga emphasized the role of yoga as an adjunct to modern cancer treatments.

Kaivalyadham Yoga Institute hosted its international conference on the theme of ‘Yoga in Cancer Care: Scope, Evidence, and Evolution’. The conference hosted expert panels discussions, case studies focused on yoga’s impact on cancer care and offered a unique platform for global thought leaders and researchers to collaborate.

Dr.Pankaj Chaturvedi, director of ACTREC and the conference’s chief guest, emphasized on Kaivalyadhama’s work and contribution in preventing cancer as well as ensuring quality of life of cancer survivors who have undergone modern medicine treatments. He reiterated yoga’s role in preventive healthcare, urging a return to natural living, “Yoga is more than exercise as it’s a way of life. It’s time to live naturally, eat naturally in our respective habitat, and prioritize mental well-being leaving bad habits and negative thoughts,” he said.

Renowned experts, including Dr. Sat Bir Singh Khalsa, Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Padmashree Dr. K.S. Gopinath, Founder Consultant of HCG, Director of Bengaluru’s RL Jalappa Institute of Oncology and Dr. Po Ju Lin, Research Assistant Professor at University of Rochester Medical Centre graced the occasion, emphasising the role of yoga as an adjunct to modern cancer treatments.
