Kaithal, 28 November (Hindustan Reporter). On Thursday morning, the traffic police itself removed the encroachment on the road by shopkeepers in the old vegetable market of the city.

The traffic police employees themselves drew a yellow line on the road and fixed the limit for shopkeepers. This action of the police will provide a lot of relief to the people for the time being but permanent relief will be available only if this system remains intact.

In the old vegetable market in the middle of the city, the shopkeepers had set up tables on the road and kept their goods 10 to 12 feet above the road. Due to this encroachment by shopkeepers, even two-wheeler drivers were not able to move out from there. The shopkeepers had virtually blocked this entire area.

People coming to shop on foot were also quite upset by this. People had many altercations with shopkeepers regarding this matter. Whose complaints were continuously reaching the traffic police and city council.

On Thursday, the police team led by traffic in-charge Rajkumar reached the old vegetable market and themselves removed the goods of the shopkeepers and sent them back. The police personnel themselves drew a yellow line on the road and warned shopkeepers to keep their goods behind this line.
