Bharatiya Kisan Union demonstrated in Pundri on Monday and submitted a memorandum to the Tehsildar in protest against the arrest and blacklisting of farmers burning stubble. The demonstration was led by District President of BKU (Chadhuni) Gurnam Singh Faral and Halka Pradhan Randhir Barsana. After the meeting held at Kisan Bhawan on Monday, farmers under the leadership of Youth State President Vikram Kasana Advocate reached the Tehsil office shouting slogans in protest.
Vikram Kasana said during the demonstration that due to burning of stubble by Dhartiputra farmers, their crops would not get MSP for two years. But not buying and filing FIR is a strong proof of BJP government being anti-farmer. BKU (Chadhuni) strongly condemns this anti-farmer Tughlaqi decree of the government. He said that instead of healing the wounds of the farmers burdened with debt, the government is continuously sprinkling salt under the influence of chair. Due to which there is huge anger among the farmers. Hundreds of farmers of Haryana have been blacklisted and banned from selling their crops in the markets for two years. In hundreds of cases of burning of crop residues in Kaithal, where lakhs of rupees have been recovered from the farmers, red entry has been made on their Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal. For this reason, now these farmers will sell their crops under MSP for the next 2 years. But they will not be able to sell and the police has arrested hundreds of farmers and filed FIR against them. District President Gurnam Singh Faral said that the BKU (Chadhuni) government demands that FIRs have been registered against the farmers in the district for burning stubble. Along with canceling it with immediate effect, the Tughlaqi decree issued by the government against the farmers should also be withdrawn, otherwise BKU will be forced to take to the streets against the government.
