Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia inaugurated safari vehicles for tourists at the Madhav Tiger Reserve in Shivpuri.

Scindia himself drove one of the safari vehicles, adding a unique touch to the event, which was appreciated by tourists.

He also announced that by April, two more tigers would be brought to the reserve, and a separate zone would be prepared for them to prevent conflicts.

The event was attended by Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Shivpuri MLA Devendra Jain, and other BJP leaders. Speaking on the occasion, Scindia highlighted that the Madhav National Park has been granted the status of a Tiger Reserve by the National Tiger Conservation Authority.

He expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav for forwarding this proposal to the central government.

Scindia further mentioned that two female tigers and one male tiger were introduced to the reserve on January 10 last year.

Since then, the female tigers have given birth to cubs in the reserve. He announced that by April, two more tigers would be brought to the reserve, and a separate zone would be prepared for them to prevent conflicts.

He announced the launch of a souvenir shop and a cafeteria for the convenience of tourists.

Additionally, online booking for visiting the Madhav Tiger Reserve has started, making it easier for visitors to plan their trips.

Scindia noted that two safari vehicles, inspired by African safaris, have been introduced, and work is underway to construct a 13-kilometer boundary wall for the reserve. Issues in the wall construction are being resolved, and plans are in place to fix water leakage and remove water hyacinths from Chandpata Lake.

Scindia stated that these efforts aim to make the Madhav Tiger Reserve one of the top tiger reserves in the country.

Addressing questions from the opposition about the tiger reserve and Adani’s defense factory being set up in the same district, Scindia responded that wildlife conservation has boosted the economy globally.
