YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra said: In the last two weeks, at least 12 people, including a YouTuber, have been arrested for spying for Pakistan. Investigations have revealed that all these were part of a detective network connected to the neighboring country which was active in North India. Of these, 6 have been arrested from Punjab and four from Haryana. It also included the name of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra of Haryana and was sent to five days police custody on Saturday.

When Jyoti Malhotra was asked about the video praising Pakistani during police custody, he said that making such videos is a fundamental right to his expression. She said that she was sending her point to her followers through the video. She was advising those killed in the Pahalgam terror attack.

In the video after the Pahalgam attack, Jyoti Malhotra says that whatever happened was our (tourist) fault. When we go out somewhere, we should be cautious and aware. He also blamed his government for the incident of Pahalgam and said that Pahalgam did not have proper security arrangements.

On 16 May, Haryana Police arrested YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra from Hisar on charges of providing sensitive information to Pakistani intelligence agencies. Police said that Malhotra runs a YouTube channel called ‘Travel with Joe’. His YouTube channel has 3.77 lakh subscribers. A case has been registered against Malhotra under the Government Security Act and sections of BNS.

He was also in touch with Pakistan during Operation Sindoor

According to the FIR lodged at the Civil Lines Police Station in Hisar, Jyoti came into contact with Danish in 2023 at Pakistan High Commission, where she went to a visa to visit the neighboring country. Hisar Superintendent of Police Shashank Kumar Sawan said on Sunday that Jyoti was allegedly in touch with Danish during a four -day military clash between India and Pakistan after ‘Operation Sindoor’ and Pakistani intelligence agencies were preparing Malhotra as their ‘contact sore thrash’.
