Junaid Khan, the son of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, is all set to make his theatrical debut with Loveyapa, a romcom, also starring Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter, Khushi Kapoor. In a recent interview, Junaid opened up about the major differences between his acting debut Maharaj, which released on OTT, and Loveyapa.
“They are worlds apart. Even how the films were made,” he said, reflecting on the contrasts between his previous work and his theatrical debut. “I actually found the experience of shooting Loveyapa more intense.”
Junaid noted that one of the key factors that contributed to the intense atmosphere on sets of Loveyapa was the young crew. He shared that the film brought together a fresh team, including a first-time Director of Photography (DOP) and Production Designer, alongside Phantom Films, which was making a film after a long hiatus.
“We had a very young crew with a first-time DOP, first-time Production Designer, and Phantom Films. That brought a lot of energy and enthusiasm on set,” he stated.
Loveyapa, set in the realm of modern romance, offers a heartwarming tale enriched with unforgettable performances, lively music, and breathtaking visuals. Directed by Advait Chandan of Laal Singh Chaddha fame, the film promises to weave a narrative that resonates deeply with today’s relationship culture. The film is poised to resonate with audiences of all ages.
Loveyapa is set to hit the silver screens on February 7, a date which also marks the beginning of Valentine’s Week for couples.
