On the joint call of the United Kisan Morcha and trade unions, on Tuesday, on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the historic farmers’ movement and Constitution Day, farmers and laborers held a warning demonstration in the city. The protesters reached the Mini Secretariat and submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner in the name of President Draupadi Murmu. Before this, farmers and laborers gathered at Nehru Park and held a public meeting. Which was jointly presided over by .ta Karmagarh, leader of Kisan Sabha, Ramphal Kandela, Satbir Kharal, Azad etc. from Kisan Union.
Laborers and farmers told that four years ago, on this day, through mobilization, a nationwide strike was held in protest against four anti-labor labor codes and farmers had started a historic march towards the Parliament against the three agricultural laws. The promises made to the farmers when the agricultural laws were withdrawn after a long struggle have not been fulfilled till date. The policy of outsourcing and contracting labor should end. Minimum wage of Rs 26 thousand per month and social security should be implemented for all org.zed, unorg.zed, scheme workers and agricultural sector workers. Farmers and laborers should be free from debt.
Privatization of public sector undertakings and social services should be stopped and installation of smart electricity meters should be stopped. End indiscriminate land acquisition. Under MNREGA, 200 days work and Rs 600 wages should be given. All the people who are not included in any scheme should be given a monthly pension of Rs 10,000. Construction workers should be registered with the Welfare Board. A central law should be made and implemented for workers in the unorg.zed sector, including farm labourers. The supply of DAP and urea fertilizers should be increased so that it can be given to the farmers as per supply. False cases made in the name of stubble burning should be cancelled. Satish Badoudi, Sanjeev Dhanda, Nafe Singh Igrah, Vikram Singh, Phool Singh Shyokand Ramesh, Azad Palwan etc. addressed on this occasion.
