Jind, September 4 (HS). Swatantrata Samuh Seva Samiti is continuously working for the welfare of the society by becoming a support for the needy. In rural areas, along with org.zing health checkups of villagers, blood donation camps, it has org.zed many camps for getting the eyes of students checked in schools. A modern library has been built for girls in Sudkain Kalan village so that the girls of Sudkain Kalan and the nearby villages can prepare for the competitive examinations here. Other modern facilities including internet facility have been made available here.

Under the leadership of Pradeep Mor, who was a student leader of KUK, along with Krishna Shyokand, who was the head of Kurukshetra University for 10 years, alumni were gathered and Swatantrata Samuh Seva Samiti was formed last year. The committee first started social service by org.zing a mega health camp. After this event, they continued to work on social service. Committee Chairman Pradeep Mor, Head Krishna Shyokand said that free medical checkup of 350 elderly people and eye operations of 60 elderly people were done. Supporting four needy students, the committee gave laptops for studies. A student of Sudkain Khurd was given Rs 15,000 to continue her studies, a handicapped student Poonam of Alewa village, who is studying MA, was given Rs 21,000 and a laptop for coaching, Lakshya Dhul was given a laptop, student Supriya was given a laptop and helped to continue her studies further.

In one year, the committee org.zed free eye check-up camps in government schools of Kabrachha, Belrakhan, Ujhana, Sudkain Kalan and Ghaso. Eyes of more than 1600 students were checked. Around 400 students were given free spectacles when their eyesight was found to be weak. Promising youths and sportspersons are also regularly felicitated. Efforts are made to provide as much financial help as possible to any needy person. There is nothing greater than service to hum.ty. Considering this as its mission, the committee is continuously working.
