The infamous gangster Aman Sahu of Jharkhand was killed by the police in an encounter in Palamu. Aman Sahu was involved in more than 150 criminal cases in Jharkhand and was jailed for the last three years. Despite this, he was carrying out criminal activities from Raipur in Chhattisgarh to Jharkhand.

Aman, who spread panic among people with the power of bullet, now wanted to get the strength of ‘ballot’. He wished to become an MLA, but his dream also ended with the encounter.

Aman Sahu wanted to travel from crime to politics

In Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, many musclemen have traveled from the world of crime to politics. Aman Sahu also wanted to follow this path.

  • While in jail, he planned to contest from Barkagaon assembly seat.
  • In 2024, permission was sought from the court to contest the assembly elections, but his petition was dismissed.
  • Was already engaged in preparation for the 2029 election.

Mission 2029 announced on social media

On 21 February, a post was posted on Aman Sahu’s social media account, in which it was written –

“Jai Shri Ram, Mission 2029, Barkagaon Assembly.”

  • He used to describe himself as a future MLA and social worker of Barkagaon.
  • Sometimes BJP used to send best wishes to the leaders of JMM and sometimes JMM.

Aman Sahu: Dangerous gangster made of a shopkeeper

Aman Sahu was born in Matbe, a small village in Ranchi district of Jharkhand. After studies, he tried to become a shopkeeper.

  • Mobile shop opened in Birsa Market, but it did not feel like it.
  • Gradually, small criminal incidents started to be involved.
  • In a few years, he became a big gangster.

Arrest in 2019 and then absconding

  • In 2019, the police arrested him, but after some time he escaped.
  • Caught again in July 2022, but he continued to run a criminal network even while in jail.

Aman Sahu was in touch with India’s most dangerous gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. He was also working for the Bishnoi gang and had become part of many organized crimes.
