Designed by luxury wedding planner Aashna Saran of Aash Studios, the mehendi celebration was a blend of colours and textures, transforming the venue into a dreamy wonderland. The event was a beautiful tribute to Indian artistry, showcasing intricate handmade decor that added ethnic charm to the festivities.
The interior featured cane-weave furniture adorned with colourful cushions and intricately designed seats, creating an earthy yet regal aesthetic. The walls were decorated with stunning floral cane-work, while a breathtaking canopy made of orange and yellow sheer drapes filled with flowers elevated the space into an ethereal paradise.
One of the striking pieces of the décor was a massive crochet blanket, handcrafted by 50 women from their homes. This vibrant piece not only served as a stunning visual but also symbolised the deep-rooted connection between traditional craftsmanship and modern luxury celebrations.
500 artisans weave magic into mehendi decor
Unlike conventional floral decorations, this mehendi celebration embraced a sustainable approach. The majority of the flowers used for the decor were not real but crocheted by hand, an honour to the extraordinary skills of the artisans who made this event truly one-of-a-kind. With over 500 artisans from different parts of India contributing their expertise, the event seamlessly blended traditional craftsmanship with contemporary wedding aesthetics.
