Uttar Pradesh Council of Technical Education has released the notification of JEECUP 2025 (UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam 2025) for admission in polytechnic institutes of the state. Interested candidates can apply online from today. This examination is conducted for admission to diploma courses in state, aided, PPP model and private polytechnic institutes of the state.

- Application Start Date: 15 January 2025

- Maximum Application Groups: Each candidate can apply in maximum three groups.
Help Centre:
Help centers have been set up in all the polytechnic institutes of the state, where the candidates will get assistance in the application process.

Pattern of Examination:
- Total Questions: 100 (Multiple Choice)
- Negative Marking: There will be no.
- Marks for each correct answer: 4 marks.

- Counseling Process:
- Main counseling will be held in three phases.
- Special counseling will start from the fourth phase.

Last year’s changes and entry rules
Changes made in the polytechnic admission process for the session 2024-25:
- Those with zero marks are not allowed to enter:
- Till 2023, candidates getting zero marks also got admission.
- Students scoring zero marks were excluded from the admission process from 2024-25 onwards.
- Reforms in Education:
- Changes were made to make the admission process more transparent and quality-oriented.
