Jhabua (Madhya Pradesh): Jai Adivasi Yuva Shakti Manch (JAYS) district president Vijay Damor has raised serious concerns regarding two issues affecting Jhabua district.
In a recent press note, Damor highlighted rampant operation of buses without permits, posing significant safety risks on local roads. He noted that both temporary and tourist buses are speeding without adhering to government regulations, increasing the likelihood of accidents.
Additionally, buses are being used in marriage processions without necessary permits, further complicating the situation. Damor pointed out the MP State Transport (Shubham India) company, which operates buses with permits from other locations, leading to overcrowding and poor maintenance.
Passengers often face arbitrary charges for luggage and many do not receive proper fare receipts. The district transport department has remained inactive, allowing drivers and conductors to endanger lives through reckless driving.
In second issue, Damor criticised district hospital’s lack of proper bio-medical waste management. He stated that hazardous medical waste is carelessly discarded within hospital premises, posing severe health risks to the community.
For years, the health department has failed to implement a systematic approach to waste disposal, which is essential for public safety. Damor urged the district administration and health authorities to take immediate action to address these pressing concerns for the well-being of Jhabua residents.
