He asked the people sitting in the audience how many of you would like to watch such a film. Very few people raised their hands in response. After this, Jaya Bachchan said, “See, hardly anyone is ready to watch this film.” Such films are flops.
However, even though Jaya Bachchan may have described the film as a flop, the film, released in 2017, was actually a box office hit. Made in a budget of about Rs 75 crore, the film did a business of more than Rs 300 crore.
Jaya said that Bollywood is living under the shadow of fear these days. Nobody knows when the ED will be raided.
