India’s star fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, has resumed bowling in the nets after being ruled out of the Champions Trophy due to a back injury. He shared a video of himself bowling on Instagram with the caption, “Progress Everyday.”

Bumrah was initially included in India’s Champions Trophy squad but had to withdraw due to his lower back injury. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

Widely regarded as one of the best fast bowlers in the world, Bumrah missed the bilateral series against England and the Champions Trophy. His injury also forced him to leave midway through the Sydney Test against Australia.

With the IPL 2025 set to begin on March 22, there is hope that Bumrah may recover in time to join Mumbai Indians before the season starts. His return would be a big boost for the team.

Bumrah extends support for India in Dubai

Recently, Bumrah was spotted in Dubai during the India vs Pakistan match in the Champions Trophy. He was there to receive prestigious ICC awards, being named the Cricketer of the Year and Test Player of the Year for 2024. Before the match, he met with the Indian team and spoke about his injury, reassuring them that his back was improving.

As he works towards full fitness, fans and his team eagerly await his comeback, hoping to see him back in action for both the IPL and future international tournaments.
