Team India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah was seen leaving the venue for a scan in his training gear on day two of the fifth and final Test against India at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). In a video surfaced on social media, the 31-year-old was seen going off the ground with a few support staff and left in a car, raising speculations among the fans as to whether he will bowl anymore in the Test.

The right-arm speedster has arguably been the most influential bowler in the five-Test series across two sides, picking up a staggering 32 wickets so far. Bumrah has had a stranglehold on the Australian top order, notably, bowling a world-class spell in the series-opener in Perth to help the tourists win by 295 runs and take a lead. However, the Ahmedabad-born cricketer has also sent down more than 150 overs in the series. He only bowled one over in the post-lunch session on day two in Sydney before leaving the venue, with Virat Kohli serving as captain.

Below is the video of Bumrah leaving the ground:

Jasprit Bumrah struck first for India on day two

Bumrah, who is standing in for Rohit Sharma as captain, struck in his second over of the day, removing Marnus Labuschagne, who nicked off to the keeper. The 31-year-old got his first wicket of the innings by dismissing Usman Khawaja and got fired up, given he had a standoff with Sam Konstas a few minutes before that.

Australia lead the five-Test series by 2-1 as they took the lead in the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). However, a win for India at the SCG will mean India will retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
