A very sad news is coming from Jammu and Kashmir. An army truck carrying soldiers met with an accident near Sadar Koot Pen area of Bandipore when the driver lost control while taking a turn. The truck fell down the hill. In this incident, 2 soldiers have been martyred and 7 soldiers have been injured, the condition of some is critical, all have been admitted to the hospital.

Officials in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora said, ‘An army truck carrying soldiers met with an accident near Sadar Koot Pine area of Bandipora when the driver lost control at a turn. The truck rolled down the hill. In this incident, 2 soldiers were martyred and 5 soldiers were seriously injured. Everyone has been admitted to the hospital. Security forces and policemen are present at the spot.

Earlier on December 24, an army vehicle slipped off the road and fell into a 300 feet deep gorge near the Line of Control (LOC) in Poonch district. In this accident, 5 soldiers died and 5 other soldiers including the driver were seriously injured. The Army issued a statement on the road accident which said, ‘The 2.5 tonne vehicle, which was part of a convoy of six vehicles, went off the road on an operational track near Poonch and fell into a ditch.
