Viral VIDEO: Jaipur Govt Officer’s Minor Son Rams Thar Into Sikh Procession, Several Injured; Angry Mob Vandalises Jeep |
Jaipur: A shocking incident occurred in Jaipur’s Raja Park area on Thursday evening when a government official’s son rammed a Thar SUV into a religious procession, leaving several people injured. The accident occurred during a kirtan, with nearly 300 people gathered near Adarsh Nagar Circle around 8:30 pm. Among the injured were an elderly man and a child, as per local reports.
Details Of The Incident
Eyewitnesses reported that the speeding vehicle ploughed into the crowd, causing chaos. Despite attempts by the police to stop the vehicle, they were unable to intervene effectively, as reported by News18. Strangely, police later claimed that no one was injured in the incident, contradicting the statements of locals. This led to widespread outrage in the community.
Angry locals attacked the vehicle in retaliation, smashing its windows and damaging it extensively. Videos from the scene showed individuals climbing onto the bonnet and kicking, smashing the windshield. The Thar was reportedly driven by a minor, while three other minors accompanying him fled the scene. The teen driver, however, stayed behind.
Ruckus At Police Station After Accident
Members of the Sikh community, who were part of the religious procession, staged a protest outside the nearby police station, demanding strict action against the accused. Their concerns highlighted not only the injuries caused but also the disregard for public safety by the driver.
The police eventually took the minor driver into custody and assured protesters that a criminal case would be filed and appropriate legal action taken. The damaged SUV was seized and taken to the Jawahar Nagar police station as part of the investigation.
