Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Shame on the powers that be, police officials were beaten up in three separate incidents in the much talked about city of Indore whose guardian minister is none other than Chief Minister Mohan Yadav himself. Interestingly, he is also the home minister. A big question has arisen on the police, who are supposed to maintain law & order and to act strictly against persons who pose a threat to commoners, as they themselves are victims of hooligans.

Four drunk miscreants including a jail guard assaulted an on-duty sub-inspector near Aurbindo Hospital in Banganga police station area, an official said on Wednesday. The accused made a video of assaulting the police official and forcibly made him sit in the four-wheeler. They even forced him to apologise and made the video viral on social media.

The accused allegedly snatched his badge and wireless set. Banganga police station in-charge Siyaram Gurjar said that SI Tereshwar Ekka, posted at Banganga police station, was on duty and was heading towards the police chowki after the security checking.

A dispute arose between the SI and the four miscreants, Vikash Dabi, a jail guard posted in Jobat, his accomplices Ravi Naik, Arvind and Vikash, who were under the influence of liquor. The miscreants misbehaved with him and assaulted him.   The police registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of BNS and arrested the jail guard Vikash Dabi and Ravi and are searching for the remaining accused.
