Detour 2024: Jai Hind’s BMM Department Hosts Media Fest With Engaging Events | Official
On 14 January, the BMM Department of Jai Hind College kicked off the first day of their two-day long media fest ‘Detour’.
This year, the media fest was bigger than ever. Presented by Haier and powered by Flare Entertainment, Detour boasted partnerships with many well-known brands, including Subway and Cinnabon. According to many in the organising committee, title sponsor Haier, with their belief in ‘More Creations, More Possibilities’ helped push the boundaries of what was possible at this edition of Detour.

From morning to evening on the 14th and 15th, the students of the Jai Hind Mass Media Department worked tirelessly to host participants from over 7 colleges in a series of events based on the media industry. The flagship events captivated many hearts as did the chants and excitement of the contingents.
Day 1 ended with a panel of content creators featuring Hardik Banga and Srishti Garg. This panel explored the lives of content creators, their creative processes, and the avenue of content creation as a career. This was a welcome addition to the media fest as it opened the minds of many students to this avenue of media.

Additionally, Contingent and Contingent ‘Jethalal’ were declared as the Second Runner Up & First Runner Up, respectively, while Contingent ‘Uday Shetty’ clinched the trophy with 1st Place. True to their chant, the team of Detour truly brought all the ‘utsah’ and all the ‘shor’ to this 16th edition of Detour, which only begs the question: What’s in store for next year?
