Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Jabalpur’s renowned spiritual leader and religious figure Jagadguru Sukhanand Dwaracharya Swami Raghav Devacharya visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence in New Delhi on Friday. 

During their 30-minute meeting, they discussed various key issues, including harmony, religion, and culture. The Prime Minister also inquired about the current situation in Madhya Pradesh and mentioned that he plans to visit the state soon.

‘It was a meaningful discussion’

After the meeting, Swami Raghav Devacharya shared his experience, stating, “Prime Minister Modi had invited me to his residence. It was a meaningful discussion, covering several important topics.” 

The discussion also included preparations for the upcoming Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, scheduled to begin on January 13. Swami Raghav Devacharya said, “We also revisited memories of our previous meetings and discussed incidents affecting Hindus in Bangladesh.”

The Kumbh Mela will witness the participation of Prime Minister Modi, several Chief Ministers, and political leaders from across the country.

Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur district to lay the foundation stone for the Ken-Betwa Link project on December 25, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said on Thursday.

This river interlinking project proposes to transport excess water from the Ken River in Madhya Pradesh to the Betwa River in Uttar Pradesh in order to irrigate the drought-prone Bundelkhand region.
