Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has confirmed that a direct flight service from Jabalpur to Pune will be launched soon.

A new flight service from Jabalpur to Prayagraj will also begin in time for the Mahakumbh. Starting January 10, an Alliance Air flight will operate between Jabalpur and Prayagraj. The flight will first arrive in Jabalpur from Delhi at 8:00 PM and then depart for Prayagraj at 8:25 PM.

This assurance came after MP Ashish Dubey met with the Minister in New Delhi on November 28, where he requested the initiation of air services from Jabalpur to multiple cities across India.

Scindia assured Dubey that flights between Jabalpur and Pune will start soon, with the Minister planning to visit Jabalpur to launch the service. Dubey also handed over a request to the Minister for starting direct flights from Jabalpur to Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Chennai.

Dubey pointed out that earlier, Jabalpur had direct or one-stop flights to various major cities, but there has been a reduction in such services recently. This has caused inconvenience to the citizens of Jabalpur, which Dubey discussed with the Minister.

For travelers heading to Mumbai, the new Pune route will offer an alternative. The Mahakumbh will take place from January 13 to 26, and Alliance Air will continue its flights to Prayagraj until January 26.

The airline has informed the Air Traffic Control and airport management about these updates.
