Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A team of officers of the Jabalpur Special Task Force (STF) has arrested three key suspects believed to be the masterminds behind a gang involved in financing vehicles using fake documents. The STF seized 21 two-wheelers worth ₹25 lakh during the operation that took place on Monday.

The gang had been active not only in Jabalpur but also in surrounding rural areas. They deceived finance companies and agents out of crores of rupees. Several agents from major finance firms are under investigation, suspected of colluding with the gang.

According to information, the arrested accused have been identified as Prashant Kushwaha, Indrajeet Kushwaha, and Praveen Soni. According to sources, The gang targeted needy individuals, promising easy loans in exchange for their essential documents. These documents were later manipulated to secure financing for two-wheelers from various finance companies.

They tricked finance companies by altering documents and obtaining loans under false identities. The vehicles were then sold off or pawned, with many of them being kept as collateral in rural areas. The STF is currently interrogating the arrested suspects to gather more information about their operations. Several agents from major finance companies are also under investigation.
