Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti: On the occasion of Urs of 813, devotees from all over the country come to Ajmer Sharif. On this special occasion, 89 devotees from Pakistan also came to offer chadar at the Dargah of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. In this event, guests from Pakistan prayed for the prosperity of their country.

A delegation of visitors along with an official of Pakistan High Commission reached Ajmer Sharif on Wednesday (January 8) and offered traditional chadar at the shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. During this time, Second Secretary of Pakistan High Commission, Tariq Masroof was also with him. The delegation visited Ajmer Sharif alias Nimit under the protocol of religious visit between India and Pakistan.

 

Pakistani visitors welcomed

On this religious occasion of Urs, members of Anjuman Moiniya Fakhriya Chistiya Khuddam Khwaja Saheb welcomed the Pakistani guests. The delegation not only offered a Chadar at the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, but also prayed for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan. A Pakistani visitor said, ‘There is no difference between India and Pakistan, there is only a fence between them and everything else is the same.’ Coming here it doesn’t feel like we are in India. I believe that unity is possible if both the countries maintain love and affection towards each other.

 

Symbol of religious relations between India and Pakistan

The pilgrims who came from Pakistan on the day of Urs also expressed gratitude for the protocol of religious travel between India and Pakistan. He expressed hope that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will continue to get similar visas in future also. According to him, this journey of religious faith and brotherhood is a symbol of good relations between the two countries. This event is being considered as a prime example of enhancing friendship and brotherhood between the Indian and Pakistani communities.
