Israel has issued a clear warning to Iran-backed Yemen’s Houthi rebels after two missiles recently fell into Israel. Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, has warned Iran and Yemen that if such attacks happen again, Israel can target any location in Central Asia. He also said that Israel will not tolerate any action of Iran.

Israel has made it clear that the Houthi rebels and Iran will face the same fate as Hamas, Hezbollah and Bashar al-Assad in Syria. The Israeli army claimed to have intercepted missiles fired from Yemen, triggering alarm sirens across the country. Houthi rebels attempted to target Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv and a power station near Jerusalem, using hypersonic and Zulfiqar ballistic missiles.

Houthi chief Mohammad Ali Houthi has made it clear that they are not ready to stop attacks on Israel. He said they would continue attacks to avenge atrocities in Gaza and Lebanon. On this, Danon said in the United Nations Security Council that Israel will no longer tolerate the attacks of Houthis.

“Remember what happened to Hamas, Hezbollah, and Assad,” Dannon warned. This is the last warning. This is not a threat but a promise that your situation will also get worse.” Last week, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also gave a clear warning to the Houthis. Israel annexed Gaza following a Hamas offensive on 7 October 2023, and a response to Hezbollah’s offensive. Apart from this, Israel has also established its military bases in Syria to control the situation.
