An Israeli female hostage died in the attack. Abu Ubaidah, a spokesman for Hamas’s armed wing, said that the Israeli woman who was taken hostage by Hamas died in the Israeli strike. Also, Palestinian doctors said on Saturday that 120 Palestinians have been killed in the last 48 hours in the Israeli military attack on Gaza. An Israeli hospital was also attacked, injuring health workers and damaging equipment. The Israeli military says its aim is to prevent attacks and regrouping by Hamas fighters.

 

Israeli woman taken hostage dies

Hamas’s armed wing said on Saturday that an Israeli woman taken hostage during an October 2023 attack has died in the northern Gaza war zone, and the Israeli military said it was investigating.

Abu Obaida, a spokesman for the Azzedine al-Qassam Brigades, said the women were able to contact their captors again after a week-long hiatus. It was revealed that the hostage was murdered in the area of ​​northern Gaza where the Israeli army was taking action.

Abu Obaida’s statement did not reveal the identity of the hostage, nor did he say how or when he was killed. The Israeli military told AFP the claim was being investigated. Abu Obaida said the woman was being held along with another female hostage whose life was in danger.

 

The woman was alive during detention

Terrorists took 251 people hostage during the Hamas offensive that started the Gaza war last year. Of which 97 are still in Gaza. According to the army, out of these 97, 34 have died. Before Abu Obeida’s statement, ten women, including five soldiers, were believed to be alive while under house arrest.
