Bangladeshi Hindu saint Chinmoy Prabhu, arrested on treason charges, has received a big blow from the Bangladesh court. In this case the court has rejected his bail application. Bangladesh Police has not sought remand of Chinmay Das. Therefore, an order has been given to send him to judicial custody. The court has also said that he should be given all religious benefits in jail.

It is noteworthy that Chinmay Prabhu was arrested from Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal Airport on the afternoon of 25 November. Appearing in the court, Chinmay Das told the media that he has appealed to the Hindus of Bangladesh to continue the process of their agitation as per the plan.
