Located on the third floor of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in BKC, Mumbai, the NMACC Arts Cafe blends art and cuisine to create an unforgettable experience. Nestled next to the Art House, this space is a celebration of Isha Ambani’s love for art and her belief in food as a unifying thread among people. The cafe provides a serene environment where guests can enjoy fine dining alongside exceptional works of art.

The cafe is designed by Gauri Khan

The interiors, crafted by renowned designer Gauri Khan, offer a seamless mix of comfort and sophistication. Using earthy tones like deep greens, warm beiges, and rich browns, the decor creates a welcoming atmosphere. The centerpiece is a striking 16-foot bar designed to resemble ocean waves, while a skylight above bathes the space in natural light.

Visitors can relax in a lounge area complete with bookshelves and a dedicated coffee bar or host private gatherings in a 12-seater dining room equipped with a live kitchen. Every corner of the cafe exudes a sense of warmth and elegance.

A sight for sore eyes

Art enthusiasts are greeted by Damien Hirst’s Cherry Blossom series at the entrance, setting the tone for a visual journey. Inside, a 60-foot salon-style wall showcases works from celebrated artists such as Dia Mehta Bhupal, Sameer Kulavoor, Takashi Murakami, Jennifer Guidi, Rana Begum, and Nor Black Nor White. Guests are also invited to engage with the art, as empty frames on the wall await creative contributions.

The expansive outdoor terrace offers stunning views of the ‘Fountain of Joy,’ making it an ideal spot for open-air dining or a quiet evening under the sky.

Chef’s blend cuisine and culture

The culinary offerings at the NMACC Arts Cafe, curated by Chef Tarang Joshi and Chef Joy Bhattacharya, reflect a mix of Asian, European, and Indian influences. The menu features reimagined classics alongside a variety of international dishes. For younger diners, the ‘Little Gourmet’ menu includes kid-friendly options such as chicken schnitzel, penne pomodoro, and crispy fried fish.

For dessert enthusiasts, the menu features innovative creations like a sugar-free chocolate and kahlua crémeux, which combines velvety richness with a subtle coffee liqueur twist.

Whether it’s a quiet meal surrounded by art, an intimate gathering in the private dining room, or an outdoor experience on the terrace, NMACC Arts Cafe promises a unique blend of creativity, culture, and cuisine. If you are looking forward to exploring a new dining experience in Mumbai, Arts Cafe can be your next destination.
