Yemen : Yemen’s diplomatic government’s internationally recognized Prime Minister Ahmed Awad Viban Mubarak resigned on Saturday (May 3). This resignation has come at a time when the US is taking military action against Yemen’s Houthi rebels. It is considered a major setback for America. Ahmed announced his resignation on social media and informed Rashad Al-Alimi, the head of the President’s Council.

Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak was appointed Prime Minister of Yemen in 2024. Announcing his resignation, he said, “I am unable to improve state institutions and make necessary changes in the cabinet.” Meanwhile, there has been no official response from the President’s Council on his resignation.

 

What is the real reason for resignation?

For the past few months, tension has been increasing between the Prime Minister of Yemen Mubarak and the Council. It is being said that he had to resign for this reason. Experts believe that he has been made a sacrifice of sacrifice for the economic challenges of Sarwak. The Mubarak administration was convicted for rising inflation and continuous power cuts.
