Mumbai – A Iranian woman living in Ambivali Irani Basti near Kalyan has been arrested by the police on charges of smuggling Mefedron. Police seized Mefedron from the woman’s scooter. A case has been registered against the accused under Kolsewadi, Khadakpada police station under smuggling, obstructing government work and other crimes.
29 -year -old Fiza Manoj lived in Irani Patilnagar, Irani Vasti, Ambivali. Police has launched a special campaign to catch drug smugglers in Kalyan-Dombivali area.
When the police were patrolling 90 feet road in Ambivali, the accused Fiza was standing on the roadside scooter. The police found his activities suspicious. Hence he was questioned and the scooter was investigated. Mefedron powder was found under the scooter seat.
The police have not been given satisfactory answers regarding Mefedron, so it is under investigation from where Mefedron was obtained and who was to be sold.
Accused Fiza is a registered criminal. The police is collecting information about his associates. Accused Suraj on Monday attacked a police constable in Aadhaarwadi Jail of Kalyan.
The accused was brought to court amid police security for hearing the case. During the hearing, Suraj argued with the judge.
