Madhya Pradesh: IPS Reshuffle Likely Soon; 14 Districts To See Changes | Representative Image

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A major reshuffle of SPs of Katni, Balaghat, Bhind, Dhar, Ashoknagar, Narmadapuram, Rewa among other districts is on the cards.

It is learned that proposals have been forwarded to the government by police headquarters for reshuffle that may affect about 14 districts.

The SPs who have courted controversies in the past are likely be shunted out. They include two SPs whose removal was recommended by the PHQ earlier.

The reshuffle may affect about 30 IPS officials. They include SPs, four range DIGs and five range IGs. Some SPs may be transferred to other districts while others may be given non-field postings in PHQ or SAF battalions.

Some officers of 2019 batch may be given command of districts. Of the five officers in the batch, three may get posting as SPs. Some promotee officers may get field assignments.

 Officers who have completed three or more years at one place are likely to be transferred. The SPs of two districts have been promoted to the rank of DIGs and will be replaced.

The post of DIG in Chhindwara and of IG in Jabalpur will also be filled. Chhindwara DIG Sachin Atulkar has been promoted as IG and is holding the additional charge of Jabalpur IG.

Kumar Saurabh, DIG, Chambal range, promoted to the IG rank is likely to be transferred. Two other range IGs may also be affected.
