Mastermind Abhishek Ratnam and other accused have been convicted in this case. Abhishek Ratnam was sentenced to 10 years in jail and a fine of Rs 80 lakh. At that time Vinay Ojha was holding the post of Assistant Manager in the bank. The police also made Vinay an accused. He has been sentenced to 7 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 7 lakh.
Apart from this, Dhanraj Pawar and Lakhan Hingve, who worked as brokers in the bank, were sentenced to 7 years in jail and a fine of Rs 7 lakh. The mastermind of this scam, Abhishek Ratnam, had used the passwords of bank officials to carry out this scam in the year 2013. At that time, Naman Ojha’s father Vinay Ojha was also posted in the same bank. His name also came up in this scam.

Government lawyer Rajesh Sable said, during the investigation it was revealed that this scam was carried out using the passwords of bank officials. Bank cashier Dinanath Rathore died during the investigation of this case. Apart from this, trainee branch manager Nilesh Chhatrol, whose ID and password were used, was acquitted by the court. The court found all four accused guilty and sentenced them. Advocate Vishal Kohad said that Abhishek Ratnam and Vinay Ojha have committed a scam of half a crore in Bank of Maharashtra by opening fake accounts through agents.
