IPL 2025: When Talking about Mohammad Siraj, who came out to play against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL match on 2 April 2025, Siraj’s feelings were different in the match, because he was playing against the team that he used to be an important part, when he came down to throwing the first over against Kohli, he stopped at half the runup, then tried for the second time. Siraj’s experience of winning the match against RCB was different, feelings were also different.
Siraj played against his old team RCB on 2 April 2025 for the first time this season, but RCB will not forget the wonderful he did with his bowling as it was the magic of Mohammad Siraj of Gujarat Titans who did not give RCB any chance to escape.
Siraj surprised everyone by dismissing the first Devdutt Padikkal (4) and then Phil Salat (14) in his bowling spell. After this Siraj also dismissed RCB’s highest scorer Liam Livingstone (54).
Thus, his bowling figures were 4–0-19–3. RCB’s team reached a score of 169/8 thanks to Siraj’s blushing bowling. He was adjudged ‘Player of the Match’ for this great bowling. Later during the run chase, Gujarat won the match thanks to innings of Sai Sudarshan (49), Jose Butler (73 not out) and then Sherfen Rutherford (30 not out).
After the match, Siraj said something that can also make RCB fans emotional. Siraj said, “I had become a little emotional, after seven years I changed my jersey red to blue, but once the ball came into my hands, I was fine.”
Siraj made his IPL debut in 2017 for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), but then played for Royal Challengers Bangalore from 2018 to 2024. RCB did not retain him in 2025. Playing for RCB, he developed a special relationship with Virat Kohli. Which was clearly visible. Kohli has also supported Siraj many times, this is not hidden from anyone. Siraj himself also said this.
