News India Live, Digital Desk: The Punjab Kings (PBKS) have found the fruit of its excellent performance in the current Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 as they have qualified for the playoff phase after a long gap of 11 years in the tournament. As soon as the Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) on Sunday night, they opened the doors to get the playoff berths for themselves along with PBKS and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
PBKS, led by Shreyas Iyer, defeated Rajasthan Royals by 10 runs in Jaipur on Sunday afternoon to register his eighth win of the campaign and equals with RCB in third place with 17 points. Both were waiting for victory from Gujarat to qualify and the stars performed brilliantly for them. Talking about Iyer taking PBKS to the playoffs, this is the third time in IPL history when he has done so.

What else happens for the Punjab team in the final phase of the tournament is yet to be seen, but it is sure that he has found a strong captain, who has given a great return of Rs 26.75 crore spent on him and has proved that he is worth every penny. PBKs have played 12 games so far and have registered eight wins, have lost only three games in their campaign and one match has not been results.
With two games left, the team will keep an eye on the next goal of finishing the top two places, so that the qualifier 1 gets the benefit, giving the losing team another chance, and the winning team reaches the finals directly. The next match of PBKS will be from DC in Jaipur on 24 May, which is a rematch of the canceled match on 8 May, after which the incidents of temporary suspension of IPL started recently. His last match will also be against Mumbai Indians (MI) in Jaipur on 26 May. Instead of Dharamshala, the city will be the home ground of PBKS for both these sports, where the games were originally determined.
