Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians: The match between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians has been shifted from Dharamshala to Ahmedabad on Sunday after the Kangra Airport was closed due to cross -border tension between India and Pakistan. After the successful ‘Operation Sindoor’ of India on the midnight of 7 May, several airports in North India including Srinagar, Jammu, Chandigarh, Shimla, Amritsar, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Jamnagar and Mundra were closed due to security reasons.
Gujarat Cricket Association secretary Anil Patel told PTI that Punjab vs Mumbai match will be held in Ahmedabad, which will be the first neutral match of the current IPL session. Three matches will be played in eight days at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, out of which two matches against PBKS on May 11 and two matches against Chennai Super Kings on 18 May, while the match against Lucknow Super Giant will be played in the evening on 14 May.
Punjab Kings will play their last domestic match on 8 May. This will be the last match to be played on this ground. Punjab will face Delhi Capitals in this match. After this, the match to be held on May 11 will be played in Ahmedabad on Sunday. Due to the closure of the airport, both teams will go from Dharamshala to Delhi on Friday.

Boundaries and airport closed
The Delhi team will remain in the capital as it will face Gujarat Titans on May 11, but Kings will have to come to Ahmedabad from Delhi for the match to be held on Sunday. Currently, the IPL is running according to its scheduled schedule, but if the situation across the border deteriorates, then the situation can change.
Significantly, the match played in Jaipur on 16 May may also be affected due to boundaries and airport closure. Rajasthan Royals will compete with Punjab Kings at Sawai Mansingh Cricket Stadium in Jaipur. However, there is still a week left in that match and the situation is expected to be fixed by then. The playoff matches will be in Kolkata and Hyderabad, which are far from the Pakistan border.
