Sri Lankan player Dasun Shanaka has been included in the team. He has replaced the injured Glenn Philips. Gujarat Titans have paid Rs 75 lakh to include Shanaka in their team. He was not bought by any team in the IPL 2025 mega auction, but now he has got a chance.
Glenn Philips replacing
Dasun Shanaka has been included in the Gujarat Titans team in place of Glenn Philips. Philips were injured while fielding as a substantial fielder in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. In fact, Ishaan fell in an attempt to stop Kishan’s shot and was seriously injured. He had to leave the field due to pain and now he is out of IPL 2025. He has returned to New Zealand. Philips did not play a single match this season and sat on the bench. Earlier, fast bowler Kagiso Rabada also left the team and returned to his country for personal reasons.

Dasun Shanaka has been a part of the Gujarat Titans team earlier. He played three matches for Gujarat in IPL 2023, scoring a total of 26 runs.
