The 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) began on Saturday with a brilliant opening ceremony. In this grand opening ceremony at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata, the big stars of the Bollywood and music industry made the atmosphere memorable with their performance.

Bollywood’s glamorous actress Disha Patni, Sur’s Malika Shreya Ghoshal, and Punjabi music star Karan Aujla forced the audience to dance with their brilliant performance in the IPL 2025 opening ceremony. But the real gathering was decorated when Shah Rukh Khan, the king of Bollywood, took the stage.

After Shah Rukh Khan’s entry, the fans present in the stadium got to see a special moment. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) veteran batsman Virat Kohli also began to dance with Shahrukh on the stage.

Both of them danced to the film Pathan’s superhit song ‘Jhoomhe Jo Pathan’, whose video is going viral on social media. Fans are describing this moment as the “Best Moment” of the opening ceremony. A user commented – “King of Cricket and King of Bollywood together!”

Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan also danced with KKR star batsman Rinku Singh. Both of them gave a bang performance on the ‘Lut Put Gaya’ song, which was well liked by the audience.

Virat Kohli got special Momento

On this special occasion, BCCI honored Virat Kohli with a special moment. The Momento wrote “IPL 18”, which shows that Kohli has been playing in IPL continuously since 2008.

Kohli is the only player to play 18 consecutive seasons for the same team (RCB) in the IPL. He captained RCB in 143 matches, but after 2021 he gave up the captaincy.
