The 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) began on Saturday with a thrilling match, where Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were face to face. In this match, KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane batted brilliantly and scored a stormy half -century and brought his team to a strong position.

Brief condition of the match

After losing the toss, KKR’s team came out to bat first.

  • Quinton Dickock (4 runs) was dismissed by Josh Hazlewood in the first over.

  • This was followed by Rahane and Sunil Narine (44 runs in 26 balls) played a great partnership.

  • Both batsmen added 103 runs for the second wicket.

Although KKR’s innings collapsed after Rahane’s dismissal, the team managed to score a respectable score in front of RCB.
