Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In the week following the arrest of three accused individuals Saurabh Sharma, Chetan Singh Gaur, and Sharad Jaiswal. The Lokayukta police have started investigating around 40 names revealed during their interrogations. The trio was arrested on January 28 and subsequently sent to jail on February 4.
DG Lokayukta, Jaideep Prasad, told Free Press that while numerous names were disclosed during the questioning, the police are proceeding with caution. “It is possible that some of the names are fabricated to mislead the investigation or frame innocent people. Therefore, we are carefully verifying these connections,” Prasad said.
The first phase of scrutiny has already linked a few of the names to the suspects, and the police are preparing to call them for interrogation. According to officials, additional arrests are expected as the investigation unfolds. While there is strong evidence against certain persons, the authorities are awaiting further details on the money trail to strengthen their case.

Lokayukta police have been searching the bank lockers of the three accused, but have yet to locate any locker linked to them. Moreover, the police have obtained details of bank accounts spread across 14 different banks. However, authorities are keeping the specifics of these accounts confidential for investigative reasons.
