New Delhi, 02 December (HS). Today’s incident of intrusion into the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission premises in Agartala is very sad. Diplomatic and consular properties should not be targeted under any circumstances.
The Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement that the government is taking action to enhance the security of the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi and their Deputy/Assistant High Commissions in the country.
It is noteworthy that a strong protest was held in front of the Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh office in Agartala on Monday against the atrocities on Hindu minorities and demanding the release of ISKCON member Chinmoy Das Prabhu.
During this time, the protesters also entered inside the campus and in protest tore the flag of Bangladesh and also vandalized it. People from different sections along with ‘Hindu Sangharsh Samiti’ participated in this protest.
