Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A female student, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in interior design, was found dead in suspicious circumstances outside her hostel’s washroom in Indore on Thursday. However, it is not yet known whether it was murder or suicide.

The deceased was identified as Kashish Badhwani, a resident of Gwalior.

After police were informed, the police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. The police have also seized the student’s mobile phone and begun the investigation. However, the prima facie suggested that it was a suicide.

According to information, Kashish came to Indore to pursue a bachelor’s degree in interior design, and she was staying in a hostel there. On Thursday, one of her classmates found her lying unconscious outside the bathroom in the hostel, and she informed the staff members of the hostel. The staff members informed the police and a team reached the spot.

Kashish was then taken to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead. The police also informed the deceased parents and called them to Indore. During investigations, Kashish’s father, M. Badhwani, told police that her daughter was not picking up their calls.

The police also inquired her hostel mates and they told the police that she seemed upset from the last few days and was not talking to anyone in the hostel. The reason for her being upset is not known.

The police then registered a case in the Lasudia police station. Further details will only be disclosed after post-mortem was conducted.
