Waqf Amendment Bill 2025: Despite the approval of both the houses of Parliament, the opposition is raising strong objection to the Waqf (Amendment) Bill. After the Lok Sabha yesterday, the Waqf Amendment Bill was approved after a debate in Rajya Sabha on Thursday. The bill cast 128 votes in favor and 95 votes in the opposition. The Waqf Bill was passed in the Lok Sabha with the support of 288 MPs a day earlier. Now this bill has been sent to the President for approval. It will become a law as soon as they get their approval.

Vigorous opposition to opposition

As soon as the Waqf bill is passed in the Parliament, the opposition has registered a huge protest by posting X on social media. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge wrote that the Waqf Board Amendment Bill has created a very poor environment in the country. This bill has been brought to harass minorities. The bill was approved in the Lok Sabha late at night. Why did this happen? This means that the bill has many flaws. Despite opposition from various parties, the bill has been forcibly approved. Sticks, buffalo sharp. This is not right for anyone.

Waqf bill will send a wrong message in the world: Akhilesh

Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has posted on social media about the Waqf Bill issue that the people of BJP are talking about focusing on the Waqf land of Muslim brothers. On the other hand, instead of focusing on the Hindus killed in Mahakumbh, their words are being ignored. The Waqf Bill will give a wrong message to the whole world. This will damage the fair image of the country. The Waqf Bill is an example of BJP’s politics of hate.

Union-BJP people, I was enough for you: Lalu Prasad

Rashtriya Janata Dal President Lalu Prasad Yadav said, “Foolish people of Sangh-BJP want to grab the land of Muslims.” But you have made a big law to sell Waqf land. I am sad that I could not be present in Parliament in this difficult time that harmed minorities, poor, Muslims and constitution. Otherwise, I would have been enough against you alone. I am worried about your people’s thoughts and thinking.
