Actor Nayanthara and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan have recently unveiled their stunningly refurbished home studio in Chennai, offering fans a glimpse of the creative retreat they have built together. The couple transformed a 7,000-square-foot colonial-style bungalow into a sophisticated workspace, blending classic British aesthetics with modern, rustic interiors.

Designed by Nikhita Reddy of The Storey Collective, the home studio perfectly balances heritage charm with contemporary elements. High ceilings, expansive rooms, and glass facades allow an abundance of natural light to brighten the interiors. The studio exudes warmth with its earthy tones, traditional artifacts, wooden sculptures, and carefully curated vintage décor. Linen fabrics, rattan textures, and teak wood furniture add to the space’s refined yet inviting ambiance.

A thoughtfully designed work environment

Located in Venus Colony, one of Chennai’s prime residential areas, the home studio is equipped with multiple functional spaces. It includes a conference room, a cozy lounge for hosting gatherings, and an outdoor area designed for casual meetings and relaxation. There is also a backyard dining section, a stylish living room for receiving guests, bedrooms for team members, and dedicated spaces for Nayanthara and Vignesh to conduct their individual meetings.

Nayanthara’s upcoming projects

Beyond setting up their creative workspace, Nayanthara has a packed schedule with several exciting projects on the horizon. She is set to star in Test, directed by S. Sashikanth, alongside Siddharth and R. Madhavan. Additionally, she will reprise her role in Mookuthi Amman 2, the sequel to her 2020 hit Mookuthi Amman. She is also part of a much-anticipated period-action drama, Rakkayie, and a film directed by Mahesh Narayanan, where she will share the screen with Malayalam cinema legends Mohanlal and Mammootty.

Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan, who tied the knot on June 9, 2022, continue to make waves both in their professional and personal lives. The couple, parents to twin boys Uyir and Ulag, seamlessly balance their careers with family life. Their newly revamped home studio stands as a testament to their vision, passion, and commitment to creativity, offering them a serene yet dynamic space to collaborate on future projects.
