Mp news: Road network is being strengthened to facilitate transport system in Madhya Pradesh. In this sequence, construction work of eight -lane national highway in the state is growing rapidly, whose 50% of the work has been completed. This project will provide direct benefit to 16 villages in the area and the connectivity of rural areas of Indore will be improved.
Construction of Indore-Harda Highway will be completed by December
The officials have fixed a new deadline to complete the construction work of Indore-Harada National Highway within the stipulated time. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) regional officer SK Singh directed after the review meeting that the project should be completed by December. According to officials, currently 50% of the work has been completed, and it is being planned to complete it as soon as possible.
16 villages will get direct benefit from highway
This eight -lane highway will improve the connectivity of 16 villages, which will provide facilities to the people there. During the construction of the highway, the vacant land has been left on the edges to plant saplings between the dividers instead of the road. This step is taken to increase greenery and maintain environmental balance.
Improvement in connectivity of villages on 27 km route from Indore
A new route under the Indore-Harda highway is being built from Kanadia to Raghavgarh. This 27 km long road will improve the connectivity of many villages adjacent to Indore, such as Kanadia, Khudail and Qazi Palasia. Along with the main four lanes in this highway, two service lanes are also being built, so that the movement of heavy vehicles can also be smooth.
Progress and future plan of construction work
- So far 50% of the construction work has been completed.
- The speed of construction of service lane is relatively slow, which is targeted to be completed soon.
- NHAI has targeted to complete 85 to 90% of the work by June.
- The remaining 10% work and plantation process will be completed by December.
Project will be reviewed monthly
This highway will have a movement of 20,000 to 25,000 vehicles per day. The project will be reviewed every month to monitor the construction work, and the authorities will have to send its report to the regional office of NHAI.
Five ponds will be built for water conservation
The NHAI has limited additional land, which requires the need for greenery to increase and water conservation. For this, the construction and repair work of five ponds has been started, which is planned to be completed from July to August.
The plan will be reviewed every month
Keeping in mind the needs of the villages connected to the highway, water conservation and plantation are being given priority. The project will be reviewed every month so that construction work and environmental plans can be completed smoothly.
