Elderly Woman Begs At Cop’s Feet For Son & Husband Jailed In Cow Theft Case | X

Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh), April 05: In a heartbreaking incident which came to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh, the police are being accused of showing insensitivity towards an elderly woman. A video has surfaced on the internet in which an elderly woman is seen touching a police officer’s feet, demanding justice in front of a crowd in Aligarh. However, the police officer is seen scolding the woman whose husband and son were sent to jail for cow theft.

The incident occurred in the Civil Lines area where an elderly woman was seen falling at the feet of Circle Officer (CO) Abhay Pandey, begging for the release of her husband and son. The video of this moment has gone viral on social media and it has sparked outrage against the attitude of the police officer towards the helpless woman.

Details About The Incident

The case is related to cow theft. A man named Rajkumar saw a cow roaming on the road and took it home, tying it up at his house. The elderly woman reportedly claimed that the cow was starving, so they brought it home and started feeding it fodder and water. She also said that they had also informed the village head or Pradhan about it. However, the owner of the cow filed a complaint at the Civil Lines Police Station.

As per the allegations, without doing a proper investigation, the police filed a case under serious charges and sent Rajkumar and his son to jail.

When the elderly woman (wife and mother of the two jailed men) went to the CO to plead for their release, she touched his feet in desperation. Instead of showing kindness, the officer scolded her harshly.

The video shows that the woman is touching the police officer’s feet after which the officer yells at her and says angrily, “Khade Hoiye! Kuch nahi karunga Madad, jo karna ho kar lijiye. Aap footage lene ke liye yahan par saare kaam kar rahi hain” (Stand Up! I won’t help at all, do whatever you want. You are doing all these to get footage).

This incident has angered many people. Hundreds of villagers from Gokulpur went to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) office to demand justice for the family.
