The elderly residents of Prem Daan Old Age Home in Airoli, locals of Wakadi village at Panvel and the tribal settlements of Aarey Colony were provided with month-long essential items such as oil, rice, matki, poha and wheat by a corporate firm.
The distribution of essential items was conducted by Infinx Healthcare operations under its Cook for Cause initiative volunteered by the firm’s employees and staff.
“This campaign is a part of CSR activity and was focused on providing essential items, funds, and resources to improve the lives of these underprivileged communities. The Cook for Cause initiative not only provided much-needed assistance to these rural communities but also strengthened the connection between corporate entities and grassroots development,” said a representative from the organisation.

Two groups from the company on Sunday traveled across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai to ensure broad and meaningful outreach.
A crucial part of the initiative was the collaboration with The Robin Hood Army, a volunteer-driven organization committed to redistributing surplus food to those in need. “This partnership helped enhance the effectiveness of the donation drive, ensuring direct assistance to the rural and tribal population. They guided on how to go about with the campaign.” said a representative.
The first stop for the Navi Mumbai team was Wakadi village wherein around 110 packets were distributed. In Navi mumbai total 150 packets were distributed.
Following this, the team visited Prem Daan Old Age Home in Airoli, where the team engaged with senior citizens. 40 packets of the grocery products were disturbed at the old age home.
The Mumbai CSR team interacted with the tribal community at Aarey colony and Total of 170 packets were distributed.
