Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Indore is set to receive the highest number of electric buses in the country under the Pradhan Mantri e-Bus Seva Yojana, MP Shankar Lalwani announced on Friday. 

The cleanest city will get 150 e-buses to enhance its public transport system.

The Pradhan Mantri e-Bus Seva Yojana aims to improve urban transportation by introducing electric buses under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. 

Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Urban Development Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, MP Shankar Lalwani stated that these e-buses will provide better facilities for citizens while promoting pollution-free transportation in the city.

The initiative will reduce Indore’s carbon footprint and bring benefits from carbon credits. MP Lalwani had earlier pushed for more buses for Indore, and his efforts have significantly benefited the city.

Irrigation In Reoti Range To Be Done Using STP Water

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): More than 12 lakh saplings, which were planted last year under ‘Ek Ped, Maa Ke Naam’ campaign in Reoti Range last year, will be irrigated using treated water. Municipal commissioner Shivam Verma, on Thursday, inspected Reoti Range and took stock of the arrangements for care of the trees, irrigation system, electricity system, wire fencing for security, etc.

He also gave necessary guidelines to ensure irrigation through water treated at sewerage treatment plant. Keeping in mind the upcoming summer season, a tender has been invited by Indore Municipal Corporation to lay a pipeline from Kabitkhedi Treatment Plant to Reoti Range to ensure permanent arrangement of irrigation of trees.

At present, borewell water is used for irrigation. During the inspection, public works and garden in-charge Rajendra Rathore, garden officer Nagendra Singh Bhadauria, zonal officer Narendra Kuril and other officers and employees were present.
