Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Tilak Nagar Police, on Wednesday, achieved significant success by seizing 336 quarters of country-made plain liquor (desi daru), totalling 60.48 bulk litres valued at approximately Rs 23,520.
The operation took place near Narayani Hospital in Scheme No 140 following a tip-off. The accused, identified as Aditya Panchal (24), a resident of Idea Multi, Scheme No 140, was caught on the spot. Investigations revealed that the accused was involved in illegal liquor transportation.
A case has been registered under Section 34(2) of the Excise Act. Further investigation is ongoing to trace the supply chain and other individuals involved. The action was carried out under the guidance of senior officers, including police commissioner Santosh Kumar Singh, additional commissioner Amit Singh and deputy commissioner Abhinay Vishwakarma.
With the active participation of sub-inspector Lalluram Goswami and constables Muzaffar, Roshan and Bhola. The Indore Police remain committed to cracking down on illegal liquor activities and ensuring public safety.
